The Story of the Strawberry
So many emails filled with stories of transformation and miracles were sent to me after we started to make copies of the Blue Bonnet painting available!
It was thoroughly surprising and deeply moving how many people felt compelled to share with me the intimate details of how the painting had affected their lives. It just all happened so fast there was no preparing. I painted the Blue Bonnet for Joe after his emergency surgery. He wrote a heartfelt blog post and then there was this sudden frenzy of orders.
It doesn’t take much to make me cry, a sappy commercial, predictable chick flicks. Tears are apparently how extreme happiness, love and relief escape from inside of me once they well up. So you can imagine the flood of tears as this transpired!

Reading story after story of the amazing changes people were experiencing inspired me to paint ALL of the plants that Dr. Len had said are ‘cleaning tools’! I didn’t want the wonderful wave of change to end! Back in May 06 when Joe held the first manifestation seminar he had just returned from studying with Dr. Len in California. While he was there Dr. Len had told him that eating strawberries is a cleaning tool as powerful as the Ho’oponopono prayer itself. “Cleaning” within the art of Ho’oponopono is the practice of clearing your unconscious mind. One atom of strawberry-ness is all you need. I think, he even said strawberry jelly would do in a pinch.
Strawberries are like swallowing treasures that fell out of Mother Nature’s jewelry box, so luscious and royal and elegant. Even tiny wild strawberries feel like incredible gifts when you stumble upon them. They are gorgeous creatures. So you can imagine how fun it was buying one of each of the different tubes of red water color paint in anticipation of painting them.
I am most excited to see how this painting affects people’s lives! And so grateful that inspiration did indeed have another healing painting up her sleeve… I painted berries in bowls, on pretty table cloths, in baskets, in large groups growing wild and gorgeous large specimens all by themselves.
What is kind of funny about the whole thing is that people seem to do a lot of thinking when they critique artwork but my very best paintings happen when I keep my mind COMPLETELY out of it. My brain tends to get in inspiration’s way and make a mess of things. If I let my mind wander out of meddlesome thinky mode I am lucky enough that it wanders right into The Zone.
The Zone is different than my regular awake brain space. It is similar to what it is like for me between waking and sleeping. I am never sure where one ends and the other begins. As of yet I can’t TRY to get there on purpose it just happens by happy accident. I suspect it might actually be a brainwave thing, that when brainwaves cycle into a higher state of functioning our mind moves out of the way so inspiration can take over.
While I was painting the strawberry that you see here I didn’t realize I had even slipped into the zone until an idea drifted by that made me go huh? Wait a minute what was that? “Strawberries dissolve Love Pain?” Ohhhhhhhhh…. strawberries heal heartache. I wasn’t sure if I’d heard it, or felt it, or a layer of fog had burned off so I could simply see better and became aware of it. I sort of giggled as my mind wandered to the story of the Grinch and his heart growing 3 sizes that day!
The next morning I mentioned that experience to my friend Cora, how excited I was by the idea that this strawberry might help people move through and beyond their love issues. After a minute she said “they even kind of look like hearts.” How had I never noticed that before? Then she said maybe that is why when two people are being all romantic there are so many strawberries involved? Strawberries and champagne, strawberries dipped in chocolate…
It all kind of makes sense.
In my mind clear as day whenever I think about this painting hanging in anyone’s home I see it 6 feet tall. This strawberry begs to be GINORMOUS! The bigger the better! Although I have been wearing it as a necklace teeny weeny to see if anything would change. YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE! Things that have been the same for 10 or in some cases 36 years have suddenly completely changed!
So many purely unimaginable things have happened that I am beside myself with the wonder of the miracles that this universe is capable of giving to us if only we are able to receive.
Love,
Aimee
